I bought a used Apple Powermac G3 in 2003 from a buddy for 50 bucks. He was somewhat of an amateur audio engineer and had installed Digital Performer 4 on to it. I purchased a Tascam US 122 audio interface and picked up where i left off with the four track. Now I had many more tracks to work with, but the computer's processors couldn't seem to keep up and the program would constantly crash. Entire songs were lost. Eventually the computer completely died. I'm not sure how many completed songs were lost, let alone works in progress.
This music, like the four track recordings were salvaged by Chris Keene. Listening to the recordings after years of neglect brought new life in the songs. Some of it was embarrassing and too personal. Some of it still felt relevant. This is an objective look at the bulk of these recordings. I made them to make them. It was cathartic and self serving. Here it is, about 15 years later.
